Thanks for visiting

Region X of the Voluntary Protection Program Participant’s Association (VPPPA) serves Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) sites as well as those sites seeking VPP status in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. With years of proven safety and health programs for both private industries and federal agencies, OSHA’s VPP initiative utilizes strategies and corporative relationships between labor, management, and government to reduce workplace illnesses and injuries. Being recognized by OSHA as a VPP star site is an honor earned only by those committed to the highest level of safety and health standards.

For VPPPA members being proactive, staying alert, keeping ahead of safety issues and concerns is the very foundation of what we do. We are all facing challenges as we move into the 3rd year of this pandemic and we must remain focused on what matters most, each other. With the added challenges that we all face in our workplaces and in our homes. This pandemic has created new levels of mental and emotional anxiety that affects each one of us differently. As we work to sharpen our situational awareness, we must also hone our listening skills. We are all in this together, and the only way we get through this is by supporting each other.

This kind of support is a huge part of why VPPPA was created in the first place – to provide a network for VPP sites to support each other through the exchange of ideas and expertise in their ongoing efforts to maintain their VPP status. Just as no site can earn or maintain its VPP status without employee and management commitment, each VPPPA also needs the involvement of its members to keep a conducive safety conversation going. The Region X Board of Directors can also aid with those looking to become a VPP site, as well as assist both members and non-members in other safety related efforts, including training and education.

One such training and education opportunity is provided through our annual Northwest Safety and Health Summit. Our next event will be held at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, WA on May 16-18, 2023. Be sure to check our Events section for further updates and registration information. This is always a highly informative and well-attended event, so we hope you can join us!

Whether you’re a current VPP site or working towards VPP status, we’d love the chance to provide support and answer any questions you have, so feel free to contact any of our “Board of Directors”.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy!
